Bourne Farm Cottage, Winterborne Valley

Such an outstanding holiday 10 out of 10.If you looked up "the perfect cottage hideaway" in the dictionary, Bourne Farm Cottage would pop up. From the moment you pull off the "main" road onto their gravel drive its like driving into your own little world. You drive past the chickens, Vegetable patch, first batch of apple trees and pull upto the twin garage. Get out of your car and walk over the dried up stream bridge, through the gate, past the second set of blossoming apple trees and up the tidy tendered front garden to the house itself. ( We used the apples to make toffee apple crumble it was delicious!) (They have a few birdseed feeders dotted about but make sure you keep them topped up, because one morning it had ran out and a lovely little blue tit tapped on the window till I went outside and filled it up :D ) Entry is through the kitchen, which is open plan with a dining table for 8, which is ideal for those latenight drinks and games.This house and kitchen is perfectly planned, everything has its rightful place and you will want for nothing, everything you may need is provided. All cutlery, pans, grill pans are there, even skewers for the BBQ. The farmhouse was appropriately decorated with old and antique furniture in every room, with matching walled artworks. The doors, even the doors were all unique as they are all like gates with latches on to close. The linen and towels were of high standard and absolute quality. The welcome pack of Prosecco, tea,coffee,sugar milk and alternate milk was a lovely gesture by the caring and thoughtful owners. ( there was also clothes wash tablets and dishwasher tablets to use) as i said, everything catered for. Theres a "utility" section which incorporates washing machine, dryer, iron, ironing board, pegs, wahing basket, Literally everything you may need! 4 Large Bedrooms with 2 different bathrooms ( one up, one down ), upstairs has a bath but both have powerful showers guaranteed to soothe any aches and pains.We spent most of out time at Bourne Cottage in the wonderful rear outside enclosed patio area.It has large rattan furniture chairs to lounge on, a clothes airer and also another large round table which we sat around daily playing games and cards! They have recently had installed a brand new hot tub! Perfect! Towels are also provided.We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxed peaceful stay at Bourne Cottage and would happily go back.
