Pine Retreat is a Scandi-style rustic chalet set on a working dairy farm near Gillingham in Dorset. It sleeps six guests across three bedrooms and three en-suite bathrooms. Panoramic rolling views stretch across the surrounding countryside and the veranda gives you a front-row seat to all of it.
The farm setting is genuinely special. In summer you can watch black-and-white Friesian cows grazing in the adjoining fields. Stourhead is just 6 miles away and Shaftesbury's famous Gold Hill is only 5 miles.
Inside there's an open-plan lounge with leather reclining sofas, a flame-effect fire and French windows onto the veranda. The kitchen has an electric oven, dishwasher, Tassimo coffee machine and a solid wooden dining table seating six. Three en-suite bedrooms include a ground-floor double, a king-size room with exposed beams and a balcony and a twin room.
Stourhead (6 miles) and Shaftesbury (5 miles) are the closest big days out. Old Wardour Castle and Fiddleford Manor are both within 12 miles.
